blah blog

I haven't posted on here in quite some time. There aren't very many people who know about this blog, so this post won't resolve in any immediate reaction anyway. However, I have to vent somehow, so this blog is where it is going to be let out.
WARNING: some negativity may be read in the rest of this post.
A couple weeks ago I lost my best friend due to a childish reaction. We went to a "club," in Broadripple where we intended to dance--afterall, that is what the purpose of a dance floor is. Earlier in the night, we ran into some friends. One of those being an ex-fling of his (one of the many he's had while in a "committed" relationship of two years). She wanted to introduce me to one of her friends. A group of my friends ran into her and her friends at that last "club" I mentioned before late into the night. She, the sober fling, and I, the sober DD of the night, were talking about her friend and dancing. My friend saw us dancing, just dancing, said, "Fuck you both," got a cab back to his truck (he wanted me to drive his truck because of his stereo system), then drunkenly drove to a different fling's house that he had been speaking of all night. He left me there. Two days later he vaguely apologized. I accepted the apology, but then he said something. "...I didn't know who to be mad at when I saw it." I replied, "When you saw it? Saw what? Us DANCING? I thought you had apologized for reacting that way, but obviously you still think it was wrong for us to be dancing, in public, in front of everyone, on a dance floor, talking about her friend, while we were both sober. I guess we're just not going to see eye-to-eye on this one." His response to all of that, "I guess not." I haven't texted him back; He hasn't texted me back. A best-friendship of over 4 years gone down the drain after two sober people were dancing and conversing about a different girl in public. I've never seen jealousy to this extreme before. Maybe he was just upset that I was dancing while he was posted on the wall texting a girl that wasn't his girlfriend trying to make plans for that night. Anyways, I talked my drunk friends into letting me drive them home, and to my vehicle which was close to their house. I got to my truck, which was at my old best friend's house, before he was home--explain that to your girlfriend. How is he going to tell his girlfriend and family how liked me that we are no longer friends? Is he going to lie and say I did something that I didn't do? Afterall, he is known to lie (obviously, he's cheated on his girlfriend OF TWO YEARS, literally the entire time they've been together). Yesterday, I got a message from the girl I was dancing with, the ex-fling, "Is [he] still mad?" I replied, "I assume so, I haven't talked to him." "Well he just texted me and asked if we have hooked up yet." First off, why would he care? Why'd he care that I was dancing with her? Why'd he care if I did hook up with her? I don't need people in my life like that anyway. I've noticed an improvement in motivation, execution, creativity, and overall happiness since that day.
This is my transisiton to a different rant.
My mom has 5 DUI's. She cannot drive; She's lost her license for life. Her scooter that she was riding to work broke down a few weeks ago. I have had the pleasure of waking up at 4:30A.M. every morning to take her to work. This in itself is a pain in my butt. My dad had asked me what I wanted for Christmas. I showed him this pair of basketball shoes. Yestermorning, he texted me, which was weird of him to do. He asked if instead of him buying my shoes, if I'd like him to use that money to help buy my mom a new scooter. Of course I didn't. I'm a selfish American, but I replied, "Yeah, that's fine." He asked if I was sure and of course I texted in a positive tone saying yes. This morning, Christmas Eve morning, I came back home and fell asleep after dropping her off at work. My alarm never went off. I ended up being 2 hours late to work. My boss didn't call, which was weird. There was a note here that said someone was waiting for 2 hours and nobody showed up. Almost every customer has complained about it that has came in. Some people don't realize that "real life" happens some times. I'm sorry, maybe you should be spending time with your family and not tanning. BUT THEN IT HAPPENED. A lady that I've always had great conversations with came in to tan. After she asked how I was doing, I told her. As always, she understood and had great words to say. Then after she got done tanning, she asked, "You were late, you probably didn't have time to get something to eat. Do you want me to go get you something?" I said, "Thank you so much! I'm not hungry, but I might take you up on the offer to get some caffeine in my system, but you'll have to use my money." She wanted to get it for me, but I insisted that she take my money. A few minutes later she arrived with a Coke. I smiled and thanked her. ...did you read that? I smiled. Through all of this negativity, I smiled. I'm usually a positive person, but this is astonishing to me. After so much negative packed into such a tight window, the smallest act of kindness made it all go away. Thank you Cyndi, even though you'll never read this, you are such a blessing in my life and have made me a better person.
Be like Cyndi; be a light unto others. One act of kindness can change someone's entire day, entire week, or maybe someone's entire life. Merry Christmas, and God bless.

Clone Kills a Man!!!

not working out...

so this whole daily blog thing isn't working out how I thought it was going to. I don't mind typing and getting things off my mind daily, but sometimes I just forget to do it. So instead of calling them daily blogs, I'll just call them "Almost Daily Blogs" =]

i made a vlog, but didn't post it...

I really thought about making daily vlogs, but right after I made the video and started to edit it, someone from work called me in. (and I'm too nice to say no) So that's another reason I don't know if I can make a promise to people of making a video everyday. I might just aim for mon, wed, fri videos, and maybe post random videos occassionally on the other days. I just don't want to make a commitment and not be able to hold up my end of the deal.

facebook statuses

so what if I like my own statuses on facebook? It's not a given that you like the status that you just wrote. For example, "I ran into a tree today" I wouldn't "like" that status, because I wouldn't like the fact that I ran into a tree. However, I do "like" my statuses that I like. For example, "Somebody just made me a grilled cheese" I'd "like" that status...actually, I'd find a way to love that status!! Anyway, if "liking" of your own status was bad, why would you be given the option to like it?

daily blogs?

I've been thinking for awhile about doing daily blogs, and I wasn't sure if I'd be able to actually keep up and actually do them daily, so might as well give it a try. I was really negative towards the idea at first, because of my procrastination and lack of memory, but I guess I can take a few minutes out of each day and jot down some thoughts.
I've also been thinking about daily blogs on my YouTube channel (http://YouTube.com/Shilltacular) but also have been cautious about making that type of commitment towards a project...not to mention that my Sony Vegas Pro 10 trial expired. =/
I recently downloaded a similar version, another trial, because I'm a broke college student who would have to take out another loan to pay for $600 editing software. So I think I'm going to try to do this daily blog thing and make sure I can keep up before I try the daily vlogs.

Best Quote Ever

‎"Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid."
— Albert Einstein (via PostSecret)

I've always liked quotes, but this quote, whether it's by Albert Einstein or not, will stick with me for a long time.

So...I made a website

LOL after hours of research and figuring things out, I made a website! It's kinda of a mean website, but it's okay, that's what makes it fun ;)
make sure to check it out creaturesoncampus.com!
it's a blog where people can submit photos of whacky/stupid/not-needing-to-be-in-public people and/or outfits. have an open mind, take a look, and have a laugh =]

Legit Website!

I really want to start a legit website, but I'm so uninformed on how to do so. I found a lot of places where I can make websites and make them legit, but all of them are sort of confusing and most aren't allowed to monetize from them. I know here on blogspot, you can from Google AdSense, but there's the whole name.blogspot.com thing that bothers me. I wish I knew how to make a website, make money from it, and have a credible domain name. I need HELP!!

Tanning is more important than living...

wait...that doesn't make sense at all!!! I think it's weird that on my way to work this morning, I saw multiple vehicles off the road and even 1 vehicle turned up side down, due to the weather and bad road conditions. But somehow, people managed to find their way to a tanning salon. Not getting groceries for babies at home, not going to work, not because they HAD to, but because they wanted to go tanning. These people are ridiculous and obviously addicted. I have nothing against tanning, but why drive through terrible conditions just to tan, now that is true vanity. Haha People will do just about anything to make themselves look "good"

I don't usually rant like this, but it just bothered me. There's not very many people that will read this post anyway, because at this time I have 4 followers on here lol

Music creates happiness

Whether you're in a good mood and you're jammin' out to your favorite song, or you're in a bad mood and listening to something that makes you want to break stuff, music makes us happy. When you're already happy, happy songs make you feel positive and on top of the world. When you're angry or just not in a good mood, some songs can relate to your situation and make you feel like you're not the only one. Music fuels our souls to live on.
Right this second, I'm listening to a band that isn't even a band anymore-- AfterEight - "The Only Way to Kill a Ghost" from their Better Late Than Never album. They're now know as Capitol Lights and have a much different sound due to a few member changes.

a taste of Joy

the last few days, I've felt really depressed. Not just not happy, but really down. It's been awhile since I can say I've been happy. And I tweeted just a simple tweet yesterday, "prayers would be appreciated" That was felt majorly. The last couple years I feel like I've slipped away from the faith I once had, but I felt happiness this morning. Something so powerful, something I haven't felt in awhile, and something I want to share with everyone. To God be the glory
